What's covered, what's not, and how to file a claim.

Coverage

Every unit ships with a 1 year parts warranty.

A 2-3 year extended warranty can be purchased at the time of order, at the same coverage terms as the standard warranty. Backed by a dedicated warranty department, not a call center reading a script.

1 Year Standard WarrantyIncluded on every listing. Covers engine knock, excessive smoke, and oil consumption under normal driving conditions.

2-3 Year Extended WarrantyPurchased separately at the same coverage terms as the standard warranty, for whichever term you choose.

Labor Not IncludedThe warranty covers the part itself. Labor to remove and install is not included, and can be discussed separately with your quote specialist.

All Units Tested FirstEvery engine and transmission is tested before it ships, so a warranty claim is the exception, not the rule.

What's covered

Engine knock, excessive smoke, oil consumptionUnder normal driving conditions, on short and long engines.

The engine or transmission itselfNot the accessories bolted to it (alternator, starter, power steering pump, A/C compressor, turbo).

Not covered

Wear itemsCarburetors, distributors, water pump, fuel distributors, air mass airflow sensors, spark plugs.

"Run hot" damageIf the engine overheated and was kept running, or the heat tabs were popped.

To keep your warranty valid

Don't disassemble before inspectionWarranty is void if the engine or transmission is disassembled prior to our inspection.

Install within 30 daysThe engine or transmission must be installed within a month of receiving it, or the warranty is void.

Replace seals during installationWarranty is void if seals are not replaced during installation.

Working radiator and new thermostatWarranty is void if the radiator isn't functioning properly, or the thermostat isn't replaced.

New oil and filterMust be replaced before installation and every 5,000 miles, with proof from a certified mechanic.

Certified mechanic installationAll installations must be done by certified mechanics.

Not transferableThe warranty applies to the original buyer only, and the part must be returned to EngiTra to process a claim.

EngiTra markings must be intactEvery engine and transmission is marked by EngiTra for quality control -- this is how we verify the part came from us.
